Georgia SoftWorks, developer of the GSW Telnet Server for Windows, announces the retirement of Doug Hitchcock.
Since 2001, Doug Hitchcock has been Head of Sales and Technical Support at Georgia SoftWorks. He retired from GSW on May 31, 2016. He has led technical support and sales for the GSW Telnet Server for Windows, SSH Server for Windows, and other GSW products for almost 20 years.
“The time is right for me to pursue other interests before I get too old to enjoy them,” Hitchcock said in his retirement note to their customers. “Our business relationships have been a real pleasure for me. I appreciate the trust that everyone has put in me and Georgia SoftWorks the past 20 years.”
Doug Hitchock and his wife Barbara are retiring into the North Georgia Mountains, where they enjoy spending time outside, doing activities with their church and enjoying their family. He retired from working in the insurance industry and has been with Georgia SoftWorks ever since.
"Having been with Georgia SoftWorks for so long and having been involved in all aspects from sales to technical support, Doug is truly a ‘Master of all trades’,” said Diane Sexton of Georgia SoftWorks. “Whenever I would get an unusual issue, I would always go to him and ask ‘What would Doug do?’. His wealth of knowledge and experience will be greatly missed."
